A novel undescribed previously tricyclo dinor-diterpenoid blasiamenin (1) and its precursor component sonderianol (2) were isolated from Blachia siamensis. Their structures were established by HRESIMS, spectroscopic techniques, especially ECD calculations and NMR calculations with DP4+ analysis for 1. The molecular docking results of compound 1 indicated it might have potential AChE and MAO-B inhibition. 1 possessed the same 5/6/7 tricyclo skeleton as those of natural diterpenoids from Strophioblachia fimbricalyx, a closely related plant in terms of biological genetic kinship and growth environment. High-temperature and strong-light conditions in Hainan may promote the occurrence of ring cleavage reactions of compounds with a 3-keto structure, leading to the production of a rich variety of metabolites with diverse chemical structures and stereoconfigurations.
